We can also share our expertise with corporate clients, enabling and supporting them with expert advice on intervention skills for working with young people.

Some of the services on offer include:

Bespoke youth work programmes

Strategic planning & business plans

Action planning

Management support

Quality Assurance

Mentoring

Facilitating the development of the staff team

We also facilitate reframing and re-branding as another element in the review process. As the lead Youth Work delivery, consultancy and training service for the voluntary and community sector we assist and work to meet individual organisations needs – you tell us your vision and we will help you realise it!

We provide a wide and varied range of courses accredited and non-accredited, to recognise a period which has been described by historians as “The Decade of Anniversaries”, which began in 2012.

Over the next few years we will be commemorating a number of significant historical events that have shaped the history of Ireland, both North and South, and which have changed our cultural and political perspectives.

To mark these anniversaries we at YouthWorks NI in partnership with Dr Cahal McManus, Queens University Belfast, Adult Learning Centre, have developed a number of OCN Accredited courses that will encourage those interested in the historical period 1912 to 1922, to explore and learn more about the events during that time. Courses on offer include “Shipbuilding in Belfast”, “Home Rule in Ireland”, “The Dublin Lockout”, “The 1916 Uprising and The Battle of The Somme”, “The War of Independence and Partition”.

We also provide a Shared History Tour of Dublin to demonstrate how ‘The British Influences’ in Ireland still remain to this day and to show the participants the sites of historical events that continue to impact upon our lives to this day.

For further information about these courses please contact our office.

THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE TEENAGERS

This course encourages teenagers to take control of their lives, improve relationships with family and friends, increase their self-confidence and help them to be happier.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers has been described as a “true gift for the teenage soul” and it is seen as a source of strength for teenagers wishing to overcome any challenges they may be facing or indeed face in the future.

The programme was written by Sean Covey who was born in Belfast and raised in Utah. Sean is a popular speaker to youth and adult groups around the world and he is currently Vice-President of Product Innovation at Franklin Covey, one of the world’s leading time and life leadership authorities.

We at YouthWorks NI have acquired the license for the delivery of this unique course. We in turn have trained and licensed 18 youth workers to deliver this course in schools and youth and community groups throughout the region.

If you are interested in providing "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers" for young people, we will be pleased to provide you with the details and costs involved.
